“Inspiration exists, but it has to find you working”    Picasso

About Me

There is a direct link between my paintings and my life journey, beetween my paintings and my imagination.
Everything you can imagine but everything I can see in real forms. The similarity between life and forms drive my brushes over canvas.

I use the world of childhood as a reference for some of my paintings. They have an emotive but also critical meaning in our society that has left aside the culture of childhood. It also happens with the religious world that is rejected and forgotten by some leaders and educators, making it impossible to access an important part of our spirit.
In other series, the family is the main theme that is closely related to childhood and imagination.
I group characters and other beings in dreamlike or imagined spaces. The characters are with different emotions. Some series I have named as “casting”, because they are the characters that are waiting to play their role in my new work.

The materials that I use in my work are varied: canvas, paper, cardboard and also the techniques, the themes and the media are varied. Oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, pencil, ink, highlighter on themes of realism, surrealism, expressionism, impressionism, graphic design, etc.
Among my influences is the art of the Renaissance, medieval art, modern art and avant-garde among which surrealism would stand out. To quote some painters: Velazquez, Goya, Matisse, Picasso, Dalí.

Exodus 35:1-5 The Lord said to Moses, “See, I
have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur,
of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with the
Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with
knowledge and all craftsmanship, to devise artistic
designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, in cutting
stones for setting, and in carving wood, to work in
every craft.

Exodus 35:35  He has filled them with skill to do
every sort of work done by an engraver or by a
designer or by an embroiderer in blue and purple and
scarlet yarns and fine twined linen, or by a weaver—by any sort of workman or skilled designer
